They can be optimistic and pessimistic at the same time and either an idealist or a pragmatist depending on the circumstances. Aries the Ram can be strong and energetic and exhibit a forcefulness of character. Aries is noted for ramming toward a goal and for having the surefootedness of a mountain sheep when it comes to traversing the rocky paths of life. Pisces is very different. Symbolized by two fishes swimming in opposite directions, Pisces tends to be indecisive and to immerse him or herself in ideas the way fish are immersed in water.
And so Aries can lend force of will and optimism that Pisces normally doesn't have. On the other hand, the Fish has a strong sense of entitlement. This comes from Pisces' inability to tell a fact from an opinion, which is caused by a heavy reliance on intuition. Intuition may serve well, but there will be times when it's wrong and Pisces may not notice. Instead, the fish will proceed anyway and become irritated when things don't work out or people object. The Fish believes in his or her rightness and would rather not change. Combine this with the goal pursuing tenacity of Aries and you have a strong combination that can occasionally hit a brick wall. Pisces is ruled by Neptune and so is susceptible to illusion, but is also capable of great spirituality. Pisces is also good at artistic endeavors, especially in the field of drama.
Aries is under the rule of Mars, the god of war. Aries can be courageous, antagonistic and full of energy. Despite being a fire sign, Aries is more "down to earth" than Pisces. Combine this with the Pisces willingness to believe regardless of the evidence and you have a combination that can be quite dangerous under the right circumstances. The Aries aspect wants action and activity and can become frustrated in an environment that demands careful study and application.
For example; Aries don't usually make good academics. Then there is the dream like nature of Pisces. The Fish is always looking for more spiritual satisfaction. This can cause Pisces to consider that "roll up your sleeves and get busy" style practical pursuits are pointless because they don't result in the enlightenment that he or she is looking for. So, each can become easily frustrated and bored. Both these signs want what they want when they want it and this characteristic can be doubled in a Pisces-

Aries zodiac sign cusps make splendid companions, being affable, genial and witty. They are never at a loss for a word, and make excellent conversationalists; as a host or hostess they are full of little plans for making those around them happy, and they can always be relied upon to provide plenty of entertainment. They love harmonious surroundings, and, possessing artistic tastes, they generally seek to make their environment as beautiful as possible. They sense others in a remarkable way, going straight to the core with those in whom they are interested. Their mental sympathies are always quick to respond to the least good which they may find in others. They are sometimes too hopeful with regard to their enterprises, and generally over-
